Between 29 May-31 May 2009 a trip to Liege was organized for the Belgiano -Romanian Friendship Days event organized by the Prahova County Council.

 

     The event aims to promote the image of Romania in the Kingdom of Belgium,by  promoting the cultural and spiritual values of our country and by emphasizing the Romanian European profile.

 

     The delegation was led by Mr. Mircea COSMA, President of Prahova County and was formed of representatives from the Prahova County Council, Prefect Institution, Industrial Parks in Prahova (Ploiesti, Brazi, Plopeni), companies CJPH (Termoelectrica, Hydro Prahova), county counsel .

 

     On May 29 an economic  seminar was held at the Provincial Palace headquarters organized with SPI + (Economic Development Agency Of The Province Of Liege) and AWEX (Wallon Agency for Export and Foreign Investments)

 

     The purpose of this meeting was to inform and to create preconditions for new business partnerships, preparing the opening of the Belgian market for the Romanian workers, and an exchange of experience in business.

 

     The representatives of Belgium business environment  have expressed interest to visit Romania and the Prahova county and to meet with renewable energy, engineering, architecture and building restoration companies. For this they asked the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Prahova to organize in its offices in Ploiesti meetings throughout the next period of time.

 

     During this seminar the basis of a collaboration between the Agency and AE3R Tweed, agency working in the field of renewable energies was made.
Also during this trip the foundation for a collaboration between AIR and Industrial Parks in the County and also with Hidroprahova have been set.

 

     The AE3R stand in the exhibition was visited by the European Commissioner for Multilingualism, Mr. Leonard Orban, the Romanian Ambassador in Belgium, Mr. Ovidiu Drang, the Prahova County Prefect Mr. Radu Oprea, the President of Prahova County, Mr. Mircea Cosma, and the Deputy Provincial of Liege, Mrs Anne Chevalier.
