"Technical assistance to assess energy policy in the Prahova County - Guide for developing the county's energy strategy"

From the 2nd to the 4th of December 2009 The Prahova County together with the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Agency Ploiesti - Prahova organized the workshop: "Technical assistance to assess energy policy in the Prahova County - Guide for developing the county's energy strategy, the event was part of the MORE4NRG project.
On the 2nd of December 2009, a delegation of the agency’s staff, County Council members and foreign guests (Iosella Bruschi - Lazio Region, Alessandro Drago - Lazio Region, Paola Politi - Lazio Region, Leonilde Tocchi - Lazio Region, Sergio Ferraris - Lazio Region , Justyna Podralska - AER France, Joaquin Pastor Ortoli - Valencia Energy Agency, Belen Romero Pastor - Valencia Energy Agency), paid several visits to various energy units in the county, namely:
1. S.C. ElectroVox SA- a member of our agency has put into operation a system of photovoltaic panels powered by an experimental tracker;
2. School with classes I - VIII which belongs to Floresti City- member of our agency that uses solar panels for hot water preparation but also photovoltaic panels that produce electricity and also inject it into the national grid;
3. CHEMP Sinaia 0 - Hydroplant museum which functions since 1898 and all equipments used are mounted for 110 years;
4. MHC Peles – a very old Hydroplant functioning since 1880.
The day of December 3rd 2009 was dedicated to seminars. After the opening speech held by Mr. Mircea Cosma - President of our Agency thefollowing issues have been addressed:
• The relationship Energy - Environment - Mr. Michael Do - Public Administrator of Prahova County;
• The INTERREG IVC Interregional Cooperation Operational, Project More4NRG - Mrs. Ludmila Sfirloaga - President of the Chamber of Regions of the Council of Europe Monitoring Committee representative, county counselor;
• The objectives, methodology and expected results by Peer Review - Justyna Podralska - AER Committee 1 Policy Coordinator;
• Valencia region strategy on RES / EE and Good Practice - Mr. Joaquin Ortoli, Agencia Valenciana of Energy (AVEN) and Ms. Belen Romero, Instituto Tehnologico of Energy;
• rational use of energy and renewable energy strategy, project "ecological house" - Giuseppe Iosella Bruschi, Lazio Region;
• General Electric - Carmen Neagu - Area Manager Romania, Bulgaria and Moldova;
• Introduction of the Energy Efficiency and Renewable EnergyAgency Ploiesti - Prahova - Catalin Csaszar - energy expert;
• Presentation of the Oil and Gas University Ploiesti - Laboratory for renewable energy - Sorin Neacsu - Prof. Eng – Head of Department of Hydraulics and Thermodynamics - UPG Ploiesti;
On December the 4th 2009, the delegation visited the Oil and Gas University Ploiesti to visit the renewables laboratory and the cogeneration plant of Coca Cola Hellenic Ploiesti.
The event aimed to promote, develop and implement renewable energy sources by sharing best practices between European regions to develop sustainable energy policy conclusions and useful lessons for creating an energy strategy for the Prahova County.
The seminar proved to be a good opportunity for the Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy Agency Ploiesti-Prahova and it’s purpose and objectives, and actions in which the agency is involved in the three months from the beginning.
Lazio Region also submitted a proposal for the agency to become partners in future projects in terms of renewable energy and energy efficiency. |
